Siddhak cow dung cakes (gau kande) are made from desi cow dung and sun-dried without chemicals, for havan, yajna, agnihotra and daily pooja. Burning them in the home is traditionally believed to invite the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi.
विवरण
Siddhak cow dung cakes (gau kande / gobar ke uple) are prepared from pure, naturally dried desi cow dung for Hindu rituals, havan, yajna, agnihotra and daily pooja.
In Sanatan Dharma the cow (Gau Mata) is deeply revered, and the five cow products known as Panchgavya (milk, ghee, curd, gomutra and gobar) are considered sacred. As per Hindu belief, Goddess Lakshmi resides in cow dung, and using it in pooja, havan and agnihotra is believed to invite her blessings. That is why village and traditional homes still use cow dung to purify courtyards on festivals like Diwali, prepare the havan kund fire and perform Agnihotra at sunrise and sunset.
